Finland

A manifestation was held in Tampere calling to support the campaign to defend the life of Chairman Gonzalo, leaflets were distributed and a speech was held on the current situation at one of the central squares in Tampere, with a focus on the statement made by the Peru's Peoples Movement on the matter. All of this was complemented by signs hanged on a bridge in the city.

 


The controversial "Law to Consolidate the Principles of the Republic" has now come into force in France. This law is part of the "fight against terrorism" to which French President Macron has committed himself.

Denmark

Slogans were seen inside the Blågården housing area, with the text “The Spring Rebellion of 2019 was justified!” and “Stop the evictions!”.

On this day in 1998, a car bomb exploded in Omagh, County Tyrone, resulting in a devastating loss of life.
The bomb was part of a campaign, then being waged by the RIRA against the British Occupation of Ireland, and a coded warning had been issued in advance of the explosion.

Counter-demonstrations against fascist groups were held, in Oslo, Stavanger and Kristiansand.

The campaign against the extradition of Liam Campbell continues. Liam Campbell is an Irish political prisoner facing extradition to Lithuania, a country he has never been to.

At the end of July, France's President Macron visited the French overseas territory of French Polynesia. Although the country has its own constitution and parliament, it still belongs to France. Far away in the Pacific, the French military used the area for testing nuclear bombs. Between 1966 and 1996, 193 nuclear bombs were detonated above and below ground.
