Editorial – Yankees put Brazil in their invasion plan to Venezuela

We have plenty of reasons to be suspicious and speculate on the motives for so many visits of representatives of the USA government, the Yankee imperialism, to our country on the last months.

Despite the concern of the embassy on their permanent and systematic monitoring of the political situation of the country with the Operation “Lava Jato” and with the growing popular revolt, as AND already denounced before. This “concern” with security materialized in bilateral agreements and staff training, just like the seminar that occurred in the last 7th and 8th of June in Recife, with the goal of “strengthening cooperation bonds between the United States and Public Security institutions of the Northeast of Brazil” are in truth the appearances that hide the bonds of semicoloniality and national subjugation.

A macabre agenda that involves the military intervention planned by the Pentagon to invade and overthrow the constitutionally elected government of Venezuela, after failed attempts to overthrow Chávez and his successor Maduro fits under the caption of “security”. These events denote the operations that are part of the current plan of Yankee imperialism against the Venezuelan people and the national sovereign of the country.

In the beginning the South Command of the USA army elaborated and was applying the pan of destabilization of the government of Venezuela, since the times of Chávez and then with Maduro. Its content renew all the cruelty arsenal that was historically used by the gringos to overthrow regimes that kept any disagreement with the imperialist domination and principally  those openly opposed to it.

Then comes the phase of articulation of the means and agents who, under the command of the Yankee army, will execute the plan of military intervention. For this, according to documents of its South Command, to close a cordon of countries around Venezuela with Panama, Colombia, Guiana, Brazil and Argentina, diplomatic treaties with the management of such countries are necessary, which are defined in reserved conversations with their lackeys just like the ones that happened when the Yankee vice-secretary and vice-president passed by Brasilia.

The travel itinerary of the vice-president included a stop in Manaus, where the center of the operation and the control of the occupation in the case of an invasion of Venezuela through the border of Roraima will probably be centered. Or in the assemblage of refugee camps for which one million of dollars were already destined by the Yankee government to the manager Temer.

According to the Folha de São Paulo newpaper, in the collective interview after the lunch at Itamaraty, the vice-president of USA aknoweledged the efforts of Brazil and demanded more: “Thank you for the support with the reception of more than 50 thousand venezuelans, for challenging Maduro regime and be a partner of USA” said Pence, adding: “For this, today I tell our ally Brazil: it is time for you to do more”.

In the midst of the tragedy of the Latin-american peoples, the Yankee imperialists’ cynicism cannot help being comic because of the fact that the gringos close their borders for the Latin-americans and pay Brazil to wide open its borders for the entrance of the Venezuelan refugees.

When they speak of doing more, beyond the deployment of troops and war means of the Armed Forces on the borders and invasion, the Yankees mean to put the demand of the cession of Alcântara base in Maranhão at stake for the establishment of a military base of USA in Brazilian territory.

Such explicit or veiled demands that mocks on the national sovereign and independence can only be explained by the submission of a decrepit state in chaotic situation to the imperialist policy of national subjugation. An incontrovertible proof of the necessity of a Democratic, Agrarian and Anti-imperialist Revolution.

In view of the upcoming elections in 2019, India‘s Prime Minister Modi tries to present himself as a good representative, who cares only about the Indian people. He and his party – the “Bharatiya Janata Party” - would stand for development, in contrary the coalition of his opposition – led by “the Congress” Party – who would only want power and therefore bring nothing but chaos to the country. To emphasize how “close” to the people he is, Modi lately told that he constantly gets out of his car in the streets and talks with his subordinates, while being silent about what the “development” he stands for really means for him: making it easier for the imperialists, who chase away, exploit and oppress the same Indian masses he allegedly cares for. The typical bourgeois electoral madness begins in India. One tries to portray himself in the press as a particularly good-doer, who has nothing but the interests of the people in mind. Then one insults his opponent, in case of doubt gets a few bribes flowing and in the end can make oneself comfortable and can go back to give no shit on the people while one curries favor with the imperialists.

And, of course, Modi states that it was him who fought the "Maoist threat" as effectively as no one else, and it would only rapidly decline because of him. But that the "left-wing extremism", as the bourgeoisie calls the People's War led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) in India, is always the first question and the first concern of the ruling classes speaks against a "decline" of maoist activities. That the reactionary forces buy expensive drones to spy on Maoists speaks against a "decline". The cowardly and cruel massacres as in Gadricholi speak for the desperation and incapability of the old state in the face of the glorious people's war, as well as the mass criminalization and imprisonment of Dalits, Muslims, Kashmiris and other tribals like Adivasi, who oppose the old Indian state and who are directly called "terrorists" and "Maoists" when they criticize Modis government.

Since a few Bremen fascists in each of their weekly demonstrations under the slogan "Kandel is everywhere", in which they use the death of a young girl to incite hatred and fear against migrants and to promote the division of the working class in the FRG, this was also the case on July 7, the planned "climax" of their mobilization.

Saturday started with a counter demonstration with about 1000 participants, including a large part anti-fascists. On the other hand, less than a dozen people gathered at the so-called "women's march" of the fascists. Because of this balance of power, the anti-fascists managed to surround the small group even before the start of their demonstration, resolutely putting the slogan "Don’t Give Fascism an Inch!" into action. The demonstration of the Fascists, who wanted to march as a pure provocation through the left-alternative Steintorviertel, was rained on. Only through the aggressive protection of their vicarious agents - the Bremen police, including their black helmeted special forces - the fascists could even claim their rally start. The anti-fascist demonstrators were shoved, beaten, tried to encircle and threatened in loudspeaker announcements with further "police measures". But they remained firm and so the cops were unable to enforce the fascist march.

We share this article from a bourgeois indian newspaper for some general information on the case of the arrested friends in India:

When the five arrested persons charged with Maoist activities in connection with the Bhima Koregaon violence were brought to the Pune police commissionerate, there was an interesting spectacle. A young constable, part of the escort party of the arrested persons, fell at the feet of Shoma Sen, one of the accused, and begged forgiveness. As head of the English department at Nagpur University, Sen had taught the young man, and he holds her in high regard. He was torn with conflicting emotions, not quite understanding what she was being charged with.

The Bhima Koregaon Five were produced in court later on June 14. The sessions court was packed with 40 lawyers from Nagpur, all colleagues of another arrested person, lawyer Surendra Gadling. The party of 40 had come all the way from the Nagpur bar and the district courts of Gadchiroli and Vai, to plead that their friend was just another lawyer and not a Maoist. Yes, he did take up cases with passion for tribal people, and political prisoners – but that did not make him a Maoist.

On the 3rd of July 22 year old Aboubakar Fofana was killed by a single bullet to the neck. He was shot dead close range by the French police conducting traffic controls. Although the scene was captured on video and many witnesses reported otherwise, the police, at first, attempted to cover up this unprovoked execution  arguing he would have run over a police officer and the murder would be justified. As this is a bland lie many do not believe, Nantes has now seen three days of massive riots denouncing the murderous police.

On the 30th of June thousands of people took to the streets of Vienna, marching to voice their discontent with the current government’s plans to proceed with passing laws to allow the 12-hours work day. Considered a significant cut of the workers’ rights fought for by the Austrian proletariat and fuelled by the ongoing protests against the current (black / blue) government itself, more then 100.000 people attended the protest rally.

In Apurímac, which is one of the poorest regions of Peru, firm and consistent teachers and their students went on the streets to demand just rights and to defend the existence of public and free schools in the course of the HNI (Huelga Nacional Indefinida) of SUTEP.
