On February 15, the much discussed "crisis meeting" between the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the Russian President Vladimir Putin took place. This meeting was mainly about the current situation around Ukraine, where the increased contradictions between the imperialists are very clear.

On 8 February, the dockworkers of the COSCO group in the port of Piraeus went on strike for the second time. There had already been strikes in October, November and December last year, triggered by the death of a colleague who died in an industrial accident. The workers demanded more safety at work and better health protection. Already during the strike last December it was said that: "...we are now mourning one of our colleagues, while hundreds more are suffering from health problems due to the intensification of work and inadequate hygiene and safety measures". Of the 2,200 workers, there were only about 50 strikebreakers who showed up for work. The rest of the workers participated in the strike.

After truck drivers in Canada blocked the capital as well as a major border crossing into the USA with their vehicles, demanding the removal of the Corona measures, this protest spread to France. Here, around 3000 vehicles tried to get onto the Champs Elysées and up to the Arc de Triomphe.

In Ayuhaultempa, Montana region, Guerrero state, Mexico, hundreds of Nahua indigenous people demonstrated against drug-related crime and police corruption. The CRAC-PF (Coordinadora Regional de Autoridades Comunitarias Pueblos Fundadores) is a community police force. It is in conflict with the paramilitary group "Los Ardillos" , led by the family of local MP Bernardo Ortega Jiménez.

At the end of January, actions were held in Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium and Austria for the fallen combatants of the TKP/ML and the revolution in Turkey. In Liège, Belgium, the commemoration started with a minute of silence before the opening speech emphasised the necessity of revolutionary violence and there was a film screening and later musical performances.

In Galicia, proletarian revolutionaries carried out actions on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the TKP/ML. Thus, dazibaos were hung up and paintings were made, especially with the slogan "Long live the people's war in Turkey!" decorating the streets of Galicia.

In the midst of the class struggle, the TKP/ML was founded on 24 April 1972 under the leadership of comrade Ibrahim Kaypakkaya and the People's War was ignited. Comrade Kaypakkaya had been leading the struggle for the implementation of Maoist principles since the 1960s and it was on this basis that the TKP/ML was founded under his leadership. Only about a year later, on 18 May 1973, Kaypakkaya was assassinated after months of torture because he refused to cooperate with the reaction.

Norway

Actions were done in front of the Norwegian parliament, because a famous person was found not guilty of 8 out of 9 rapes committed, after the courts initially found him guilty and sentenced him to 13,5 years in Norwegian prison, after appealing he only faces one year in Norwegian prison. Only about 1 out of 100 reported sexual assaults, lead to any conviction, so it is only natural that the female masses distrust the state and rebell against its institutions.

Back in early January, thousands took to the streets in Iraq as it marked the second anniversary of the assassination of Qassim Suleimani, Iran's highest general, by Yankee imperialism. At the protests, demonstrators shouted slogans such as "Death to the Americans" burned Yankee flags and carried signs demanding that the Yankees withdraw their forces from Iraq.
