On the 20th of March, in the city of Stuttgart a combative demonstration marched against state repression and fascism in which about 1000 progressive forces took part, among them was a contingent of proletarian revolutionaries.

In the following we want to give a short overview on the recent actions (suspected) carried out by the Peoples´s Liberation Guerilla Army (PLGA) under the leadership of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) [CPI(Maoist)] in the ongoing People´s War in India.

NATO countries increased their military budgets to $1.1 trillion last year despite the economic crisis. The European countries and Canada in particular increased their budgets, as the Yankees have been demanding for years. This means that the 30 NATO member states are now responsible for 60% of all global military spending. This is further clear evidence that this alleged "alliance of values" is not about defense. They are arming themselves in order to counter the imperialist competition from China and Russia even more aggressively.

The FRG government is also determined to stick to the so-called 2% target. For 2020, it has announced military spending of 51.5 billion euros, although the defense budget is 45.65 billion. This means that the cost of armaments is hidden in other budget items. In the federal government's Corona stimulus package of 2020, they not only approved additional armament projects, but also a new cyber center for the Bundeswehr for 500 million euros. Thus, the imperialist war machine is being further expanded under the guise of fighting a pandemic. And such budgetary trickery is not an isolated case. So-called EU missions in Africa, in which Bundeswehr soldiers were also involved, were in the past also gladly paid from the EU development aid budget.

The anti-militarist "Informationsstelle Militarisierung" sees the arms industry and the Bundeswehr as clear winners of the crisis: "In political terms, the German government is trying to use the Corona pandemic to increase military spending even further." (own translation)

Last Sunday, the state elections took place in Baden-Württemberg. On this occasion, posters were stuck up in the working-class neighborhoods in Freiburg and hundreds of leaflets were distributed propagating the boycott of the election. In Karlsruhe and Lahr, among other places, some posters calling for a boycott of the state elections have also appeared.

With great joy we share a video by the League of Poor Peasents (LCP) in solidarity with the accused and arrested rapper Pablo Hasél in Spain.

On the 4th of March, a 13-year-old boy in Lyon suffered an accident with a scooter, he crashed badly and was put directly into an artificial coma in hospital.

A Woman in Antalya defended herself against a violent husband, who has been violent for a long time, but after a gruesome night of threats, beatings and rape, he hit her on the head with a rifle, then left and threatened that he would kill her and their two children, and so when he came back, she, while being handcuffed on the ground, was able to get control of the rifle and shot him. She was forced to marry him in the first place, because he raped her while she was still in high school and had to give up on her ambitions to become a math teacher.
When she called the police they detained her, and now she is charged with murder and is facing a trial, that could end with a life sentence. The reasoning from the reaction is that she should have contacted the police before or solved the so-called domestic violence in some other way. But when the police is known for doing nothing to help to help women, pushing women back to their abusive men, and when men are regularly acquitted in court for violence and murder within the family, then it should be no wonder why women have to do what it takes to save themselves and their children.
According to the minister of the interior, 266 women were killed by their husbands last year in Turkey, but this is based on lacking reports, and actual number is much higher, in 2009 the number of murdered women were reported to be 953, which was the last year before official statistics on how many women are murdered was put to a halt by Erdogan’s government.
Just one week after the international day of women’s struggle, this case, together with the daily murders of women in Turkey, shows how the old Turkish state is complacent in these crimes.
