German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) this week proposed to centralise Germany's cyber security in the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). Until now, cybersecurity has been a state matter and the BIS only provides administrative assistance, and that is also what the Constitution says.

Since last Thursday, the 14th of July, there have been renewed strikes by dockworkers at various port locations. The current strike was preceded by two other strikes - a total of 80 hours of strike action. This makes the current strike the biggest in 40 years.

Of the announcements made by the former Minister of Health, Jens Spahn, about major changes for the care sector, which were to be created with the Care Reform 2022, the only essential part that actually remains is the standard wage agreement.

The current economic crisis is getting worse and worse and thus the situation of the working masses in this country is getting increasingly worse. The seriousness of the crisis, which is far from reaching its peak, can be well illustrated by the current figures of the inflation rate. Last month, inflation was 7.6%, only slightly below the previous month's high of 7.9%, the highest rate in almost 50 years. This high inflation rate ensures that the poorest sections of the proletariat in this country now face the real problem of not being able to finance their lives. The majority of the masses are not yet facing the threat to their existence, but they still have to make cutbacks and major adjustments in order to be able to get through the crisis. The demand and the struggle of the working class for a wage increase that will cushion the burden of the crisis is therefore completely justified. Especially at the present moment.

On 12 June 2022, Welthungerhilfe published its report on the year 2021. What can be read in it shows the catastrophic situation in which the world finds itself under the yoke of imperialism. Right in the introductory text to the report it states:
"Welthungerhilfe warns that the number of hungry people continues to rise, while at the same time the prices of food and transport are skyrocketing. As a result, hunger crises around the world continue to grow. According to recent UN reports, up to 828 million people are chronically malnourished."
828 million people going hungry in the world means that more than one in ten of the world's approximately 7.9 billion people do not have enough to eat.

On July 9, on the occasion of the Day of Action for the People's War in India, a rally was held in front of the Indian Consulate General in Frankfurt. "Rebellion Ruhr" had called for this rally and some other internationalist forces had also mobilized for this occasion.

On July 9, 2022, a loud rally was held by the Red Collective Bremen in Bremen's working-class neighborhood of Gröpelingen as part of the International Day of Action for the People's War in India. The genocidal Modi regime and the old Indian state were denounced. The red greeting of the Indian comrades "Lal Salaam" resounded loudly through the streets of the quarter! The achievements of the People's War in India were highlighted, where the masses led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) have formed revolutionary People's Committees, where land has been distributed to the peasants, all reactionary laws have been abolished, and the oppression of women is being bitterly fought. The war against the people, the counter-revolutionary war operations "Green Hunt", "SAMADHAN" and "Prahaar", as well as the drone attacks in Chhattisgarh on April 15 this year were condemned.

Attention was also drawn to the situation of political prisoners, including carrying signs depicting the prisoners Varvara Rao and Professor G.N. Saibaba. Slogans such as "Freedom for all political prisoners", "Up the international solidarity", "Long live the people's war in India" and "Down with imperialism" were shouted, along with hundreds of leaflets distributed and newspapers sold. The slogans "Naxalbari Jindaabaad" and "Inkalaab Jindaabaad" were also shouted in Hindi. The crowds welcomed the action, and many showed solidarity by honking their horns or raising their fists. The rally was a powerful and vibrant expression of proletarian internationalism.
