Yesterday marked the 46 anniversary of the murder of Ibrahim Kaypakkaya who died on May 18 in 1973 in the dungeons of the Turkish reaction after having founded a genuine Communist Party and initiated the People's War in his young years. Celebrating his great accomplishments in the 70th year of his birth, comrades of Partizan organized a most vivid and combative Kaypakkaya celebration, that took place only days after the announcement of the 1st Party Congress of the TKP/ML since its foundation.

Cultural Programm

Organizers of Partizan, participants, masses and international delegates alike euphorically shouting slogans for the TKP/ML, the TIKKO, Ibrahim Kaypakkaya and the People’s War in Turkey from the top of their voices over minutes amidst the most political Kaypakkaya celebration since years with densely packed rows of participants - exactly that was the spirit of this years Kaypakkaya celebration that took place in Stuttgart last weekend. Impulsed by the announcement in the days leading up to the celebration, about the 1st ever Party Congress taking place – Kaypakkaya himself was arrested before the 1st Congress could be organized, leaving a pending task since; a task the complex situation of the People’s War in Turkey has not allowed for to happen until now, only allowing for Party conferences to take place – participants from the democratic associations, international delegates and members of the supportive Parties and organizations alike where full of excitement and anticipation about these developments.

Posters at the entrance

Hence, the speeches, particularly those delivered in the name of the TKP/ML, where listened to eagerly by all. Particularly the speech given in the name of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the TKP/ML (German, Turkish) was observed attentively. It closed with the slogans: Long live the 1st Congress! - Long live the People's War! - Long Live the shining path of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism! - Long live proletarian internationalism! - Long live our Party, the TKP/ML, the TIKKO under its Leadership and the TMLGB!

Presentation of speeches

Furthermore, a young Turkish comrade together with international delegates presented a joint international statement in German (EnglishSpanish, Turkish) that was discussed at the IV. Meeting of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Parties and Organizations in Europe and consequently signed also by comrades from Latin America as well as organizations from Italy and Greece. Several organizations from the International Communist Movement also participated in person: From Austria a video was presented depicting a series of actions in solidarity with the People's War in Turkey as well as scenes from the People’s Wars throughout the world. French comrades, in the middle of intense class struggle in their country and the massive boycott campaign that is being developed, also send a delegation presenting a speech. From the FRG, a comrade of the Editorial Staff of Class Position held a brief but captivating speech, that made the room turn silent as many tried to listen attentively.

The international declaration is given

These and further points on the agenda of the festivity created an atmosphere more vibrant and political then in many years before - starting with the short demonstrations organized by the delegations from other cities to the point of the festivity, with slogans, banner, pyrotechnics and all; going over to the posters for the EU Boycott Campaign, Chairman Gonzalo and the People’s War in India that where up exactly at the entrance so no-one could walk past without noticing them; the speeches, banners and flags at the event, that again and again mobilized for the Communist Party, Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, People’s War and Proletarian Internationalism; up to hundreds of delegates and masses in the audience, that from first to last row joined in the slogans; and the very fact, that this event was able to successfully take place in the FRG is a hard blow against those renouncing the TKP/ML.

Proletarians of all countries, unite!

Speech at the Partizan festivity on occassion of the 46. anniversary the death of Ibrahim Kaypakkaya

Dear comrades,

We send our balzing communist greetings to all leaders, cadres and militants of the Communist Party of Turkey / Marxist-Leninist, who, facing the attacks of revisionism and opportunism, keep their Party on the only victorious course for the revolution; to all combatants of the Workers and Peasants Liberation Army, who, putting their lives on stake, hold firm the position in the trenches of the revolutionary war and march forward; to all masses, who, unsubdueable by the reaction, are in the midst of writing Turkish history anew.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the birth year of Ibrahim Kaypakkaya. And it was him, who in 1972, with the repercussions of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, formed the Vanguard of the Proletariat on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and the teachings of the revolution in China into a Party. Under his leadership the armed struggle in Turkey was raised to a level never seen before, as he founded the TIKKO and initiated People’s War. A People’s War which – despite all attacks by imperialism and its lackeys, from the Turkish state to armed revisionism – has never been defeated up until today and whose shining example has a signaling effect to the communist throughout the world.

But today also marks the 46. anniversary of the death of comrade Kaypakkaya. A death, that he has found in the torture dungeons of the Turkish state, which long before the murder of comrade Kaypakkaya has shown himself to be genocidal and a hangman of the revolutionaries. And it is not different today. What have seen in the last years? Waves of arrests against revolutionaries, the state of emergency being made permanent and the murder of six of our comrades not even a year ago in Dersim, where those heroic combatants stood firm until the last bullet and then, when all ammunition was spent, where murdered and mutilated by the reaction, the pictures of this uploaded to the website of the army and their families attacked at the funerals. And the German State? No matter whether one is a Turkish member of a democratic association, a follower of the petty-bourgeois nationalist forces or a militant of the Communist Party – the German state spies, criminalized and prosecutes.

In this situation of increasing reactionarization of the state the Turkish revolutionaries indicate a clear direction: Instead of making common cause with the state and the police, even more determined mobilization of the masses against this and denunciation of the class collaborators! Instead of the negation of independent revolutionary politics and tailing being the petty-bourgeois nationalist forces, two line struggle, joint activities on the basis of principles and ideological, political and organizational strengthening of their own structures! Instead of electoral campaigns and participation in governing of the old Turkish state – the very state that, among others, murdered comrade Kaypakkaya – mobilization for the People’s War!

As communists in formation in the FRG we are lucky and honored to frequently stand shoulder to shoulder with the revolutionaries from Turkey in the revolutionary praxis of class struggle. We are convinced, that this festivity as well will be yet another important contribution to further unite the Communists throughout the world on the basis of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, principally Maoism, the struggle against revisionism and in the service of the Proletarian World Revolution.

Long live the Communist Party of Turkey / Marxist-Leninist!
Long live comrade Ibrahim Kaypakkaya, founder of the Party and initiator of the People’s War
Death to revisionism!
Victory to the People’s War!
