According to several Indian media some militant actions with a huge amount of involved masses took place the last days in the ongoing People´s War in India, led by the CPI(Maoist).

On December 21, a Bandh (armed strike) were held in the district of Malkangiri of Odisha, among others to protest and denounce a fake encounter a week before in which two Maoists were murdered. Unfortunately there are no further information on the Bandh till yet.

On December 23, a police informer were killed by suspected PLGA membersin Vangarai village of Vishakhapatnam district in Andhra Pradesh. According to the "Times of India" 30-40 Maoists entered the village and dragged the target person out of his house before killing him. It can be assumed that he had faced a people's tribunal before getting executed, a common fact the reactionary media like to conceal.

On December 24, mass protests of villagers against the establishment of police camp took place in Parvatpur village in Jharkhand’s Giridih district. The masses were armed with traditional weapons and shouted combative slogans to denounce the reaction. The reactionary broadcaster "India Today" claims that all the masses were payed by the CPI(Maoist) to take part in the protest. A claim that can hardly be surpassed in ridiculousness.

On December 25, units of the PLGA managed to fight back attacks in two encounters in the course of a broad search-and-destroy operation and to retreat without any losses. According to police information one member of the combined unit of CRPF, DRG and CoBRA forces of old Indian state were injured by an IED blast during the operation. The reaction also claims to have seized materilas and explosives after the encounter, we can neither confirm nor deny the correctness of this assertion.

On December 28, another Bandh were held in Odisha’s Kandhamal district. Various media reported that several posters and banners were put up and some streets were blocked by trees. Again, unfortunately, we do not have more information. The reaction vehemently tries to cover up the successes of the CPI (Maoist) in the People' War.

On December 30, a Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) personnel was injured by a pressure triggered IED blast in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, police said. According to the police the detonation occurred while trying to defuse the IED.

Also on Decmeber 30, another suspected police informer were killed near Tumdikasa village of Raipur district in Chhattisgarh. The exact course of events is not known, but the reaction claims to have found a Maoist statement near the dead man, identifying him as a police informant.
