The traffic light government has now set out its plans for the long-announced legalization of cannabis, which were already mentioned in the cornerstone papers of the coalition agreement at the end of 2021. In the future, it is to be legal to grow up to three cannabis plants of one's own via so-called "cannabis clubs" with a maximum of 500 members and to obtain up to 25 grams of cannabis per day and a maximum of 50 grams per month there. At a later date, sales via regional specialized stores and commercial supply chains will also be pushed.

In the framework of the Tayad Cafe at the international center B5, a mobilisationevent took place last Thursday to call for this year's internationalist block at the trade union demonstration on first of May. In the course of the event, presentations on various topics were given by different organizations that have come together to form an alliance for the internationalist block.

After a justified demonstration in Berlin Neukölln/Kreuzberg last weekend, which was directed against the renewed attacks of the Israeli army on the Al Aqsa Mosque, as well as against the bombardments of the Gaza Strip, the German bourgeois press again started a smear campaign against the supporters of the Palestinian liberation struggle. The demonstration organised by the comrades of Samidoun, with several hundred participants, was demonised in the German press from the hate paper BZ to the state media such as the Tagesschau and dubbed as anti-Semitic and inciting the people. Slogans against Israel and for a free and self-determined Palestine are now said to be the reason for "harsh prosecution" as demanded by high German politicians such as Berlin's Mayor Franziska Giffey or Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (both SPD). The recent attacks on the Al Aqsa mosque, the rockets on Gaza and the ongoing genocide perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinians, which has escalated even further this year, on the other hand, receive no attention whatsoever in the articles about the demonstration, even though it was a reaction to precisely these attacks.

Everywhere in Germany, there is a severe shortage of qualified teachers in schools. Everyone who has children or still goes to school can tell what this means for us. Constantly changing teachers, lessons that are cancelled, merging of school classes and last but not least, the students are required to learn all the topics that have not been worked on on their own, whereby the tasks of the education system are simply shifted onto parents and students.

The bourgeois media keep chanting about the untenable conditions in Bremen's youth welfare offices. The staff complain about the massive workload and fear serious consequences. Seventeen years ago, the conditions led to a child being found beaten to death and repeatedly abused in a refrigerator in a working-class area of Bremen - Gröpelingen - because the cops and authorities kept looking away (Kevin case).

Bremen's parliamentary elections are just ahead, and just in time for them, the red-green-red federal government has now introduced a new draft law. This draft provides that, in the future, students entitled to vote will be able to cast their ballots in their respective schools one week before the official election day. To this end, a huge logistical and financial effort is to be made to move voting documents, booths, ballot boxes and, of course, government supervision into the schools in order to integrate the election into the students' everyday lives and to make the hurdle for students to cast their ballot as low as possible. Other eligible voters should also be allowed to take advantage of the early voting option.

This coming 10 April marks the 104th anniversary of the assassination of General Emiliano Zapata, and as the peasant and indigenous movement has declared more than once: the programme of the agrarian revolution is still valid! In commemoration, different agrarian movements in different parts of the country have called for mobilisations, some of which have a clear class content and are directed against the militarisation of the country and the imposition of imperialist mega-projects of dispossession and death. In the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, the Union of Indigenous Communities of the Northern Zone of the Isthmus (UCIZONI) and the Committee for the Defence of the Land of the Popular Current of the Red Sun (CP-Sol Rojo) are calling for mobilisations that include the occupation of offices, the blockade of highways and some marches in different parts of the region. These protests will be joined by other organisations and communities participating in the network of civil resistance against CFE's high tariffs, as well as communities that continue to resist the wind farms and others currently affected by the Interoceanic Corridor. The convening organisations and communities express solidarity with the communities of Mogoñé Viejo, San Juan Guichicovi, and Santa Cruz Tagolaba and Rincón Tagolaba, Tehuantepec, which are under siege by the Mexican Navy and paramilitary groups. Demonstrators are also demanding justice for Luis Armando Fuentes Aquino, affectionately known as "Comandante Gato" by fishermen and poor peasants, who was killed by paramilitaries in San Francisco Ixhuatán on 11 April 2019.

Stop the militarisation of the Isthmus!

Jail for the mercenary "Tacho Canasta" and his brother "Sergio Canalla"!

Baden-Württemberg is planning to create five new judicial positions and to set up a new Stastsschutzsenat. The Minister of the Interior, Marion Gentges (CDU), justifies this current development with the increasing number of trials against so-called Reichsbürger, which would overburden the judicial system. She is supported in this not only by the governing parties, the CDU and the Greens, but also by the opposition.
