As part of its ongoing solidarity work, AGEB organised events in Austria and Switzerland on 18 and 19 February to deliver relief goods and economic support to the earthquake areas. The solidarity appeals met with widespread approval, with many responding to the call and packing and sorting the goods in collective work.

In Switzerland, solidarity events were organised in Zurich and Basel. In Austria, such an event took place in Innsbruck. In addition to collecting donations, other activities were planned to support the masses in Turkey who were torn from their lives by the earthquake. After a joint breakfast attended by hundreds of people, proposals were made from the masses to organise such solidarity events on a regular basis. The participants and also those who had donated to the organisation were thanked for their solidarity. The event ended with the information that info stands and various solidarity events are planned in the coming days.
