This week, Ukrainian President Zelensky issued a decree that all national news channels are to be merged into a single media complex. The reason given for this is a unified information policy, which is necessary in times of war.

The new "news station" is to be called "Unique News" and is to prevent false reports from being spread. "Unique News" is then the largest news station in Ukraine and works entirely in the sense of the lackey regime in Kiev, there are hardly any other news, a circumstance that has existed within Russia for a long time and is denounced again and again in the FRG in order to create a mood against Russian imperialism. Meanwhile, ZDF(german state televion) writes that this step is necessary and not censorship, because it would help the Ukrainian people in the war against Russian imperialism.

That it is not only about information can be seen in the story of the mentioned "Phantom of Kiev". According to Ukraine's domestic intelligence service, the "Phantom of Kiev" is a Ukrainian pilot who is said to have shot down ten Russian fighter jets with an obsolete Mig-29. Videos testifying to this have appeared on social networks, among others. Experts point out that these recordings come from the game "Digital Combat Simulator World".

The attack on press freedom in Ukraine is older than the war itself. Already in December 2021 Selenskyj banned by decree the news channels "UkrLive" and "Perviy Nesavissimij" which belonged to the opposition party "Opposition Platform - For Life", which was banned last week. The party held over 10% of the seats in the Ukrainian parliament and were among Selensky's biggest political competitors.

While the imme rwieder is told that the war in Ukraine would also be a war between democracy and authoritarianism, it becomes clear that even the allegedly democratic Selenskyj knows only one way and that is the suspension of the parliaments and thus of the legislature by ruling by decree. Not only in the FRG it becomes clear that the executive wins more and more in strength at the expense of the other forces, but in all parts of the world. To enforce this, it is enormously important for the regime in Kiev to gain control over the flow of news. For this purpose, the highly praised "European values", which are supposedly defended, are trampled underfoot.
