In the following we want to give a short overview of the actions carried out by the PLGA in the recent week in Peoples war in India.

 

On June 23, combatants of the PLGA attacked a construction side at the village of Dhanikorta in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Six vehicles includig three trucks, two JCBs and a poclain machine were torched.

 

The same day another construction side of the Pradhana-Islampur Road in Bihar's Gaya
district
were attacked and an earthmover were set to fire. According to police reports the contractor refused to pay a levy to the PLGA under the leadership of the CPI (Maoist).

 

Also on June 23, a member of the Chhattisgarh armed forces were wounded by the detonation of an improvised explosive device. The incident occurred when the reactionary forces were on an area domination operation in Orchha area.

 

On June 20, posters denouncing the murder of three female comrades by police forces were found in the town of Chaibasa West Singhbhum distict of Jharkhand.

 

According to the „Hindustan Times“ the CPI(Maoist) held a meeting attending 10.000 people from June 18-20 border of Sukma and Bijapur districts of Chhattisgarh. They allegedly refer to undercover investigators and police informants. The meeting is said to have been secured by 300 members of the PLGA. At present we cannot say whether these reports are true.

 

It is also alleged that two police officers and a local BJP leader were arrested on charges of supplying stuff to the Maoists.
