On Saturday, May 09, a shoot out took place between poor masses and reactionary forces during a demonstration in the Firozkoh, the capital of Ghor province.

People gathered to the street to protest against the lack of food aid distribution during the corona pandemic. According to the authorities protesters armed with fire arms attacked a government office. In the following encounter two, policemen were killed and ten further were injured. The reaction claims to have also killed four protesters.

In Afghanistan, as in other oppressed nations, the poor masses suffer particularly from the economic crisis and also from the effects of the lockdown. But the masses are not willing to bear the burden of the imperialists' crisis.
