An action of solidarity with the Revolution in India was carried out for the first time by the Association Red Pages and the Independent Student Organisation of Malta on 11th of December.

Last weekend actions initiated by a strike of taxi and truck drivers came to a head in massive country-wide protests in Jordan following increasing costs for fuel. Large numbers of protesters blocked roads with burning tires and combatively confronted the police.

In the night of December 17 to 18, Essen police are said to have stormed an African bar on the corner of Siemenstraße/Altendorfer Straße during an operation in Altendorf, according to their press report. The operation is said to have led to a large brawl, injured cops and several criminal proceedings.

There is still no end in sight to the wage dispute at Südwestdeutsche Landesverkehrs GmBH (SWEG), which has been ongoing since August. Repeated work stoppages have made it very difficult to plan trips in Baden-Württemberg.
The reason for the strikes is SWEG's refusal to pay its employees according to the federal wage agreement to which all railroad workers are entitled.

Greenland

Yankee-imperialism has recently signed a contract with the Greenlandic business “Inuksuk”for a value at around 3.8 billion Euros in the maintaining and modernisation of the Thule Airbase in Northern Greenland. With the melting of the arctic ice new sail routes are exposing themselves and the arctic region is playing an increasingly more important role for the imperialists. Russian imperialism has the largest coast exposed to the Arctic Sea and has a ”leap” so to say ahead of the US, who’s military doesn’t own ice breaker ships and who’s sole deep water military naval base in the arctic region can be found at Thule in Greenland. The US now seeks to increase its military presence in the Arctic Region, mainly serving its goal of encircling Russian imperialism.

Proletarians of all countries, unite!

Jose Maria Sison, the historical leader of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and the People’s War, passed away on the 16^th of December. The outstanding role of comrade Sison in re-establishing the CPP, founding the New Peoples Army and initiating and leading the People’s War in his home country, can not be overestimated. An important leader in the International Communist Movement have left us, we pay him tribute and send our internationalist condolences to all his comrades, family and friends. We are absolutely convinced that his memory will be cherished and celebrated the best way possible in the development and victory of the People’s War which he initiated.
