On Tuesday,  March 07, fierce fights took place between masses and security forces  in  the federal state of  West Kordofan, in Sudan.

Police forces arrived to suppress unrest in front of a fuel station in the district of Lagawa. The forces got instantly under attack and one of were stepped with a knife.  Thereupon  the  police began fire live bullets into the crowd, on person died  instantly, three others were wounded. Later that day a member of the Sudan Armed Forces were stepped to death. The attacker was able to retreat undetected.

Also Tuesday, angry residents of Sinkat in Red Sea state blocked a highway and erected barricades made of  tyres and set them alight. About the exact background of this action nothing is known, but it is right to rebel.
